About us
The 80th Regiment of Foot a Living History Group set up to re-enact the
life of The British Infantry Soldier of 1878-9.
The Group aim to recreate, as closely as possible in this modern age, the life of a soldier of a Victorian solider in 80th Regiment of Foot - The Staffordshire Volunteers in the period of 1878-9 the Zulu war, thus bringing about an understanding of the lives, roles and duties of everyday soldiers. We portray life in the Regiment on foreign service.
Our group displays a small section encampment with all the necessary equipment from the sleeping tents to the mess kitchen.
Our displays consist of firing demonstrations, bayonet practise, uniform/equipment and camp life (living history).
